But, it seems to me that HR may not understand the needs of the techie world, e.g. conversance in the latest software, and technical leadership may not understand the non-technical demands of the HR world, e.g., diversity. Perhaps, some joint exercises involving players from each and therefore both worlds might be beneficial. An ultimate goal might be making both groups work more efficiently. Neither HR or technical leadership wants to spend time reading mis-matched resumes or interviewing clearly un-qualified applicants
