Team Building
Flexible Work Solutions has got you and your team covered with fun activities that build the team in the process.
Does your team need a boost of morale, trust, or communication? Whether you’ve got individual contributors or leaders, whether they’re located in the same building or across the world, whether you’ve got a budget for an off-site or an online event, we’ve got you covered with fun activities that build the team in the process.
Activities
Activities may be customized to your needs. Teambuilding activities are fun and increase both self-awareness and awareness of others. For example, give your team the gift of the Gallup CliftonStrengths instrument as a positive way for you and your team to identify and value each individual’s unique talents.
Each person, manager included, takes the 20-minute assessment beforehand. At the meeting, you learn about your unique talents together and engage in activities where people appreciate each other’s contributions and see how the team functions at a higher level when everyone’s talents are used.
It’s an empowering and positive way for the team to discover how they can deliver better results faster.
Strengthen Your Team Activity
Do you feel that your team could perform better? Maybe they don’t communicate with each other as well as they could, or they don’t seem motivated to work together, or the team just hasn’t gelled yet? Are you noticing conflicts are slowing down results, or silos are causing oversights, or other teams are outperforming yours? If so, now may be the time to take a short break to pull your team together for a half-day team-building activity.
The Strengthen Your Team activity is a positive way for you and your team to identify and value each individual’s unique talents. This enables you, as the leader, to optimize delegation and coaching. It helps the individuals on the team be more efficient and effective at what they do, and it helps the team members to work together to solve problems by leveraging each other’s talents. Knowing each other’s strengths allows you and your team to deliver business objectives quickly and enjoy working together while doing it.
The Strengthen Your Team activity is a half-day meeting for the entire team and manager. Every participant takes the 20-minute Gallup CliftonStrengths instrument prior to attending. The manager spends an hour with a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach a week prior to the meeting to identify his/her strengths and begin applying them from a leader’s perspective. It’s a fast, rewarding way to up-level the team with minimum time spent away from work.
Team Meeting Facilitation
Do you have a new team or a team that is in conflict or a team that is facing a new challenge? Sometimes it’s easier to have someone else come in and facilitate a discussion, especially when it is delicate, and you don’t want to appear to be taking sides.
Our facilitators are experts at managing the meeting process to keep your team focused on the task at hand, achieve the goals of the meeting, and leave with measurable next steps. Whether it’s mediating conflict, building consensus, solving a problem, delivering feedback to each other, or learning a new skill, we can build a process for getting your team through it.
A Team Facilitation can be a 2-hour, half-day, or full-day meeting for a team or working group and it may or may not include the leader. The facilitator meets with the leader either in person or by phone or video in advance of the meeting to understand the issues and context and to identify the appropriate process for the meeting. The facilitator may also help the leader craft the messaging to communicate with the participants in advance of the meeting.
Business Simulation for Aspiring Leaders
The Business Simulation
The business simulation is a challenging, fun, and competitive team-building game where teams run a fictitious company using an online simulation that is facilitated by an expert in leadership and team development. The teams compete for about 2 to 2-1/2 hours, through a number of simulated business quarters. After the game is completed, the facilitator debriefs the activity with the team(s) by drawing out participant insights into the team and leadership dynamics and how the dynamics compare to their interactions at work. Participants leave energized from the game and well-informed about how they can better lead and contribute to their teams at work.
Virtual Social Hours
We offer several creative and fun social activities for teams on virtual platforms, such as VIRBELA and ZOOM. Meet on the beach and watch the fireworks in Virbela’s virtual world, have a game night on Zoom with prizes and teams, or enjoy a facilitated wine or chocolate tasting by a connoisseur. We can set up the experience and we guarantee a good time.
